To get protesters to leave the Local Butcher Shop alone, the Berkeley meat market’s owners agreed to promote an animal rights message.
Now, in the upper left corner of one of the store’s front windows, there’s a 15-inch-by-15-inch sign. In white letters on a black background, it reads: “Attention: Animals’ lives are their right. Killing them is violent and unjust, no matter how it’s done.”
In exchange for putting up the sign, Direct Action Everywhere, an animal rights group, agreed to protest at the store only twice a year.

So I made up a similar sign and demanded that our grocer post in the produce department, near the broccoli:

Liberal lunacy. They won’t be satisfied until all conservatives and all meat eaters leave California. Then they’ll find something else to whine about.
I put up a sign too if I were them.
Attention: Killing an animal decreases the chances that the protesters out front will find a sex partner this weekend. They seem to prefer sheep so we recommend buying beef, chicken, or pork to help them avoid sexual frustration. We do sell lamb and will special order mutton if you insist.
