Nowhere do they say they will consolidate schools, streamline operations, etc. “Just send money”, just like the kids in college who want to party on.
The American taxpayers must not bailout the Chicago failures. Let them find funds from the many sports venues, or perhaps fire some of the six figure city hall employees and earmark those salaries to CPS.
You know what they need? More illegal aliens and refugees. That will fix them up.

I always found it curious that Obama looked to the worst public school system in the country, a failing system, and selected their CEO to head the federal Department of Education. And no one said a word.

Let me help you! The City of Chicago, The Chicago Public Schools and Cook County all need to declare bankruptcy. There is no way, short of a complete bankruptcy, that Chicago can be fixed. I don’t think for one minute that Trump will give it a dime of bailout money.
If the school system happens to hires someone to clean it up, that person gets drummed into the woodwork.

And of course these @$$holes sprung this on the taxpayers a week before school starts so now it’s a crisis that has to be resolved immediately without debate or consideration for any alternatives.
Here in NJ ALL of the public school systems cost a bundle of money; the teachers’ unions have reduced residents to serfs working away for the public school teacher caste. Whether you rent or own, you are just renting from the teachers’ unions...
