I saw a video on CNN in which it looked like an accident with several cars. It was a calm scene. The CNN announcer said it was the site of the speeding car “accident.”
All Americans have the right to peacefully assemble under the Constitution. How, when and where are dependent on local government regulations. Local governments do not have the right to refuse citizens because they don’t like their views. Or allow more than one protest on any given day.
The local Charlottesville Government is totally responsible for the violence & failure to apply their Constitutional rights to each group equally.
The local government failed to govern, they failed to lead and they failed to understand their duty under the law. That was their greatest mistake.
The reason violent protests, or rioting happens in any city is because of the abject failure of government officials. Their utter ignorance of the law and how to apply the law equally. And if required enforcing the law when it is violated!
