The Nazi LARPers and Confederate cosplayers at Charlottesville, along with their alt-right supporters, frequently justify themselves by claiming to be defenders of white culture and heritage. However, it is unclear how a Nazi Tiki-torch parade accomplishes this.
Nonetheless, let us consider the merits of the claim, which is, in part at least, a response to leftwing identity politics that relentlessly racialize everything. Unsurprisingly, endlessly essentializing and demonizing whiteness helped produce some whites who accept the premise of racial identity but ditch the conclusion of white guilt in favor of white supremacy. Are they correct that there is a distinct white cultural heritage that needs to be defended?

Hitler ( and therefor the Nazis ) were VERY big on WHITE GERMANIC "CULTURE"! From ancient Germanic myths to loving the works of Goethe, to the operas of Wagner, to other great German composers, to art and lit from the Middle Ages and beyond.
And the Nazis were pals with the Muslims, especially Arafat's uncle, with who, Hitler met and praised the ALL MUSLIM NAZI army that he had raised to fight the Allies.

What he’s saying is that what defines “white culture” was never race, but religion and philosophy.
Right, whites have no culture but everyone else does. I don’t believe in white supremacism but that doesn’t mean whites have to sterilize their cultural and social contributions.
Granted, but remember, the Nazis wanted to utterly destroy every vestige of Western civilization NOT derived from Germanic culture.
