1. Our navy vessels are so powerful and strong that mere collision with a commercial vessel does so much damage that they suffer fatalities???

2. Start firing admirals. Something is “sinking” in our naval preparedness training and even just basic operations.

Did you see the CO and EO Resumes?

When I was in, a ship like this would have a very seasoned CO and EO, they would be at least 45 years old and have had several commands under their belt.

This is the correct answer.

ComSeventhFlt should be relieved over this one. And the Fitz CO/XO MUST be Courts Martialed.

Anything less assures more incidents in the future.

If boats & ships were cars, it appears that our “car” was hit by another. Still shouldn’t have happened; but the way it’s stated in the media makes it sound as if we rammed into another vessel.

My question or comment maybe is, how is it our fault (except that we allowed it)? For it to have been our fault, wouldn’t our ship be sailing sideways? And with what speed and force to make that hole that huge?

This confuses me.
