Skip to comments.GOP Senate candidate Roy Moore has said he doesn't believe Obama is a natural-born citizen

Former Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore, a Republican candidate for US Senate, has cast doubt on former President Barack Obama's citizenship repeatedly and as recently as December 2016, fueling the debunked "birther" movement that sought to delegitimize Obama's presidency. Moore, who started questioning the legitimacy of Obama's citizenship back in 2008, last year told a meeting of the Constitution Party that he personally did not believe Obama was a natural-born citizen. "My opinion is, there is a big question about that," Moore said when asked how he defines natural-born citizen as it relates to qualifications for president. CNN's KFile reviewed video from the event.

More fake news.
They don’t get it.
Nothing he can do about it now, even if he wins.
I’ll NEVER believe that Obama was born in Hawaii...NEVER!!
“My opinion is, there is a big question about that,”
seems pretty reasonable.
Nothing has been “debunked”. Certainly, the NBC question has never been properly reviewed . . . but debunked?
No surprise, it’s just lyin’ CNN
Mitch and his sleeze merchants now working overtime. It will backfire on them.
Generally, if you go throughout the entire state...I would take a guess that 20-percent of the public tends to agree with Moore’s belief on Obama not being natural-born citizen. It doesn’t really change much of anything.
You have a choice....vote for Moore (lightning rod for oddball comments), or Strange (considered fairly corrupted and connected to the old governor).
Even if he was he’s not “natural born”.
Birther Ping for those who still care.....
Judge Moore is of course correct
And it doesn’t matter what CNN says, people in Alabama are going to elect him.
They don’t give a damn what freak Leftists in downtown Atlanta think.
Like it did in Mississippi last time?
The difference is that Alabama is not Mississippi.
So CNN is now trying to help Moore? Interesting development.
Obama himself touted the claim, repeatedly & pre-POTUS-aspirations, that he was born in Kenya.
Lol! CNN says that like its a negative. That should be good for an extra 10% of the vote share in Alabama....
Two forgeries of birth certificates later who would have thought 0bama would lie about his place of birth? Suspicious SSN considering 0bama has a one from a state he was never in. Attended universities as a foreign student.
Of course he is not what he claims to be.
Even if true, what does that have to do with the job facing Moore if he's elected? The question is how supportive he will be of the President. Will be vote the way Trump wants even if he doesn't fully support it? Or will be be a fourth vote that we have to worry about?
To me it does not matter if Obama was born in HI, he had at least dual citizenship therefore not natural born.
Judge Moore we believe as you do.
It would be helpful to me if CNN would clearly spell out all the evidence in one place that debunks the apparently crazy idea that Obama is not an NBC.
