VA democrats attack the NRA
email from VA dims

Posted on 08/24/2017 7:47:27 AM PDT by Gopher Broke

Last week, the National Rifle Association endorsed the full Republican ticket -- Ed Gillespie, Jill Vogel, and John Adams.

The NRA promotes policies that would make our communities, schools, and children less safe -- from allowing guns in schools to opposing universal background checks. But one Virginian is killed every 10 hours by a gun.

That’s why Ralph and the Democratic ticket are proud to have an ‘F’ rating from the NRA -- because commonsense gun laws are important for the safety of the commonwealth.

Will you chip in today to help us counter the NRA’s support of the GOP ticket?

The NRA’s endorsement is based on a survey that determines how well candidates match its agenda -- and the questions show just how extreme this GOP ticket is.

So, the question is: what have Republicans promised the infamous gun lobby in order to win their support?

Compare that to Ralph Northam, who has spent his whole career standing up to the gun lobby’s radical agenda in order to keep Virginians safe.

We’re fighting back against radical gun policies at every turn, but the NRA’s endorsement comes with a huge check.

Will you stand with Ralph, Justin, and Mark by pitching in $3 to counter the NRA’s endorsement of the Republican ticket?

Thanks for standing up for what’s right,

Thanks, Virginia Dems

Try telling that to the Ohio judge who saved his own life purely because he was armed.

would make our communities, schools, and children less safe — from allowing guns in schools

So why were the schools safe back in the 50’s when we actually had rifle teams and Hunting clubs etc in the schools. Even in the 60’s there were always rifles shotguns and bows in the cars and trucks parked on the school lot during hunting season. No one got shot. No mass shooting. What’s up with that!

I say again:
What KIND of Virginians are being shot?

And who ARE the shooters?

This is not an unimportant bit of knowledge.

If 99.99% of those shooting and those shot are drug dealers or gang bangers — well, that’s one thing.

If all the victims are blacks and all the shooters are
Professors of Political Science —and white — then, that’s
quite another.

But they (The Press) NEVER tell you those facts...

Gillespie is no prize, but Northam is McAwful gone wild. Any Virginia FReeper who wants to sit this one out because Gillespie is a GOPe, especially compared to Cory Stewart, is actually working for the Dims.

[[That’s why Ralph and the Democratic ticket are proud to have an ‘F’ rating from the NRA — because commonsense gun laws are important for the safety of the commonwealth.]]

Apparently the 8 million gun laws on the books already aren’t ‘common sense gun laws’?

What this tells me is that liberals are incapable of creating ‘common sense’ gun laws because they’ve had 1000’s of chances already- and can’t seem to find that ever illusive ‘common sense’ laws on the books-

Sorry dems- violations to our constitutional rights is NOT ‘common sense’ laws

Surely there are already plenty of ‘common sense’ gun laws on the books, no? Don’t need any more- Hell- We should be doing away with most of them because they are violations of our constitutional rights

Couln’t agree more. I think Gillespie would govern more conservatively than his GOPe status would indicate. Even if I’m wrong, it’s time to get the democrats out of the Executive Mansion.

I'd sure hate to be that guy. Killed more than twice a day? Phew, that's exhausting.

Right after Northam came out with this statistic the Virginia Citizens’ Defense League, VCDL, parsed the numbers. I didn’t keep the e-mail but over 2/3 of the shootings are suicides.

Reminds me of a comedians who solemnly told the audience:
Somewhere in this world a woman gives birth to a child every minute.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have to find that woman and stop her.

This is why it was not smart to go ahead and pass national reciprocity straight away.
