They’re essentially the same thing, except that Naziism is nationalist totalitarian socialism, while Communism is internationalist totalitarian socialism.
The red in the Nazi flag was to draw in their close cousins, the Communists.

True words Jim. Millions of people have died at the hands of both ideologies, and when you're dead, it doesn't really matter from which group the bullet came.

The Nazi's were and are an evil, godless, mass-murdering totalitarian ideology. The Communists were and are a an evil godless, mass-murdering totalitarian ideology. Exactly!

That’s Nazism, Communism, and Liberalism.
And practitioners of all should be tried and executed.

Communism and fascism are also the two ideologies that promote “the ends justify the means”.

Sadly all that you say is true.
Sadder still Republican politicians do very little to counter the evils that have befallen our Republic.

The way I think of it is that Hitler and Stalin had far more in common with each other than either of them had in common with Churchill.
To: Jim Robinson
So true, and you can include in the list the murder of millions from another of American progressivism's diseases, abortion.
But what's less obvious but equally if subtly devastating is the low-burn destruction of liberalism's denial of little freedoms and choices that degrade and destroy human happiness and, eventually, life.
Every unnecessary law, tax, rule, or regulation denies Americans of an alternative use of what was taken from them which would have led to greater health, happiness and property (although that's a redundant list of which most modern Americans haven't a clue). For example, by overtaxing someone by $3,000, that's not just some economic inefficiency or necessary political cost, it's a direct denial of the choices and, thus, happiness, that that $3,000 would have allowed.
One way to conceptualize it is to relate the cost of government upon individuals to Maslow's "Hierarchy of Needs," a measurement of human happiness:
Government's role is to protect the very basic human needs at the bottom of Maslow's Hierarchy. But Leftists think they can not only deliver the lower-level needs but higher-order happiness through redistributions, safety nets, and other centralized, government plans. And these great benefits are to occur, somehow, without reducing the higher-order happiness and opportunities for it of the providers of those programs and taxes. Instead, they create false self-esteem, envy, and barriers to self-empowerment and then cover up their crimes by decrying an unfairness of their own creation.
In ignoring its impact upon higher-order happiness, or "actualization," as Maslow puts it, and while claiming to create a more "just" society, the progressive, "soft" Left and its Democrat party promoters are as criminal as the Nazis and Communists.

Don’t let people try to tell you theses collectivist ideologies are not extreme left-wing.
The NAZI’s differ from the communist mostly in their willingness allow private ownership of property as long as the Government effectively controls it thou regulation. Like the modern Democratic party platform.

Thank you, Jim. It is far to easy to get use to “that’s just the way it is now.”
I believe that what the dangerous left is doing today will eventually remove the shackles of PC from conservatives backs and this - along with Trump’s bold Supreme Court picks - may finally bring this to an end.
God is patient - very patient - with the US. But this too will end - hope this tragedy in our midst ends soon enough.

The ONLY advantage we have that Pre-War Gemany did not is the reluctant ability to kill the enemy, quickly, and COMPLETELY.
We can't kick the Can down the road, anymore. This time we have to finish the job. Anything less is a false morality.
