Yep, the "ESPN Sports Center" Effect.
Scientific research on the general subject of sports and brain injuries/brain damage either will,or will not, show a connection. Those unfamiliar with how medical research works should understand that the results of a single study, even one done by a well known and well respected researcher,is never accepted as "gospel" on the particular issue at hand. The results of such a study must be reproducible by other researchers before a basic conclusion is reached in the medical community.
I don't know how many studies on this subject have been done but one can expect a number have been done and will be done because brain injuries from all causes (accidents/falls as well as sports) are a huge problem in medicine.
Politics...from Marxists *or* conservatives...shouldn't enter into this.
“Our owner” You are in too deep. Take it from a recovering NFL fan, there are things other than football to do on Sunday afternoon.
Yeah when I heard that here in Jax, I almost fell over. Of course his answer was a tad couched. He was asked would he consider signing him. His answer I think was more if my coaches brought that to me, I would approve it. IOW, he put it on Coughlin which would be like expecting him to also try to sign Fidel Castro if he were a player.
Khan is Pakistani, and like Kapernick,is Muslim. So thats not surprising.
I bet Rush is a tad happy he got frozen out in his attempt to be part of a syndicate trying to buy a team some years ago. Sometimes his commentary smacks of it.
My Gators are way bigger than the Jags in Jax...
I will be at the game on Saturday.
Nice! Tailgating or in the stadium? (or both)
...........re cheerleaders get rid of skirts and blouses!
.............the game would come to a stop and no one would get hurt! TV Ratings would go waaayyyy up!
Hell, even I would watch and I haven’t watched a game in 25 years!
There’s supposed to be a big get-together at a restaurant near the stadium before the game.
I’m good with it!
So, is ESPN going to report on this guy as a hero...all while showing and cheerleading football? If they believe in Cunningham, ESPN should never show football again.
Interesting that the NBA requires this, but the NFL FORBIDS it.
Geez, remember Tom Landry, or Vince Lombardi, or Hank Stram?
They all wore a suit and tie.
I forget which NFL coach a few years ago wanted to wear a suit and tie, but he was turned down.
Nope they must wear the official sweatshirts or whatever.
Must be some kind of marketing decision, or another Roger Goodell edict from on high.
It was surprising that they didn’t slam her for trying to be like the evacuees.
She needed more whipped cream.
I hope you enjoy yourself. I’ll be up here outside of Philly...
I think we’re gonna get killed, but still, it should be fun.
