When your lid grows up successful, it is the hard work, and decisions you made.
If your kid ends up in prison, your kid’s choices put him there.
We are selective in our credit.

Last I heard the girlfriend was teaching math in a New York high school. I coughed up $2900 so my son could get a teaching credential and find a more steady income stream than his real estate broker work. Thus far, that has turned out poorly. I'm pretty much over trying to help my kids succeed. Both sons are in their 30's now and I'm close to retirement. They have taken any hope of inheritance up front. We're just tapped out at this point.

Well if he teaches they might pay for some graduate physics courses. They’ll probably want him to concentrate on only graduate education courses. He’ll have to pay for the ones they won’t pay for work toward that masters in ED & pick up a real masters in MS Physics. Long tough haul but doable if he wants to minimize his costs and keep working. The other way is to go fast but poor, get accepted to a grad physics program get a teaching or research fellowship (If your accepted you can usually get one!). Your tuition will be waived but fees sometimes aren’t. Finish in 3 to 7 (to PhD) years depending on what type of physics. Anything experimental is long tough road, closer to 7.
