Anything that includes AMNESTY is DOA. Okay, how about let this kids stay if the balance of their family get deported. They are here illegally. First step for new DACA, turn in names and addresses of all current family members in the US. All that are illegal must leave before the kid is given DACA study permit. AND WHEN STUDY IS OVER, they go home too. NO WORK PERMITS!!!

I think he is giving the GOPe and Democrats and RINOs a way to authorize and fund the border wall - repeal DACA.
Now, he has somethings with which to negotiate. He is putting ALL the BS back on Congress, which is where it should be! Now they can’t play hide the weenie with each other and then expect the President to help coddle them with some backdoor amnesty-like DACA program.
I could actually deal with amnesty, but only under a few SPECIFIC, TIMELINE ACTUATED CIRCUMSTANCES:
1) Build the wall - NOW! Anything less and the answer is NO!
1) Enforce ALL immigration laws currently on the books - NOW! Anything less and the answer is NO!
1) STOP ALL IMMIGRATION for at least 24 months - PERIOD! Only those currently in the system (not even written applications, only those who have had their initial interviews, etc...) will continue during those 24 months! No “hard ship”, “relatives” or any damn thing else - NONE...for 24 months!
1) Upon completion of the wall and enforcement of the laws, including HAMMERING anyone who hires an illegal, then new job-based and America-needs based immigration laws need to be put into place.
2) Then, and ONLY then, will we look at giving any current illegal immigrant a method to amnesty.
a) NO CRIMINAL RECORD AT ALL - NONE AT ALL - PERIOD!
a) Only those OVER 20 years of age.
a) If within military service age, they MUST do six years in the U.S. Military (don’t graduate boot camp or fail out of the military in less than six years - NO AMNESTY).
a) No sponsorship immigration from those given amnesty - PERIOD!
a) They must pay back taxes (for all years they have been in the U.S. - payment plans allowed.
a) A PENALTY FEE for each year they spent illegally in America.
That’s where any and ALL immigration laws should start - in my opinion!
Trump better realize congress is never the wall. Never. He is surrounded by people who do not want the wall. Trump does know it will be his “no new taxes moment” if he breaks this promise. He will have to find alternative funding or they’re will be no wall.

I hope Trump won’t let this fester. In AZ he said without equivocation he will allow the shut down if there is no wall funding. OK Harvey arrived so the deep state “never let a crises go to waste” crowd pounced on the opportunity to spike the wall funding. Trump needs to re-assure the base on this. There are MANY just salivating at the thought of him reneging on this promise.
If he thinks this is funny, he’ll think his being unemployed after the next election is hilarious. They need to vote him out and put someone in there that wants to help this country get strong again.

The wall will get funded one way or another, and as you have seen, Trump rescinded DACA, which you thought would not happen. And the acting Homeland Security Director says they are not taking no more applications for it as of today. Back to the wall, they have enough funding to get the thing started, and they are looking at 4 different wall prototypes.
