MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — An agreement is set between ROCORI administrators and students over the school’s controversial policy that would prevent them from displaying flags in the parking lot.
The policy was revealed to students this week as they returned to class for the new school year, and came after a handful of students displayed Confederate flags on their cars in the school parking lot.
“We wouldn’t care if they didn’t allow Confederate flags,” ROCORI senior Chase Klein said. “That would be fine with us, so long as we can still fly the American flag.”
“ROCORI” = Rockville, Cold Spring, and Richmond.
The school is located in Cold Spring, Minnesota about twenty miles southwest of St. Cloud.
The more they trash the stars and bars, the more important it is becoming to me. I’m getting very tired of this nonsense.
I’m still a member of the vast majority in this nation, and I think it’s high time we start telling some folks to STUFF IT!

A school can absolutely not prohibit me from flying a Rebel flag off school property. Have we gone nuts?

I am proud of my southern heritage. I do not put any flag over the American flag but I flay the confederate flag when I want to and that is very often. Stars and Bars— Suck it up buttercup. Freedom!!
Who were the dim bulbs who thought they would tell a bunch of teenagers that ALL flags were prohibited. The fastest way I know of to get a teen to do the opposite is to command them to do something.
I’m sure the ISIS, LaRaza or Gay Pride flag are A-OK.
Just don’t fly a Confederate of American flag. That is racissssst and hateful.
Those kids have more fight in them than recuser Sessions.
My forefathers fought on both sides in the Civil War. I fly both flags proudly, in Minnesota. There are quite a few of us who do.
My people were all Southerners. 100% both sides.

This Yankee is a Rebel at heart. And that flag is part of MY history too. And those were also Americans who died fighting under that banner.

So many Northern folks have made that comment over the years; It really warms my heart.
Educators live in a bubble. It was unreasonable for the Rocori administration to believe they could ever enforce such a mandate. All three of the communities making up the school district [Cold Spring, Rockville and Richmond] went strongly [65-80%] for Donald Trump in the 2016 election.
These towns are perfect examples of rural communities all over the center of the USA who rejected Hillary Clinton. She would have called these 3 towns “deplorables”.
We’re Americans. We stick together. And there is no one else or anywhere else like us on Earth.
It’s worth fighting for, and any cost.
Those Stars and Bars are red white and blue too. And I’m sick of folks trashing it.
