Gun-wielding FBI agents busted into Paul Manafort’s home as he was asleep in bed and even searched his wife for weapons, it was revealed Tuesday.
Agents took an unusually tough approach in executing a search warrant, dealing with potential financial crimes by President Trump’s former campaign chief, sources familiar with the July 25 raid, told CNN.
The pre-dawn, guns-blazing tactics and weapons search of Kathleen Manafort left the Alexandria, Va. couple shaken, according to CNN’s report.
Manafort is in the crosshairs of special counsel Robert Mueller, as he probes Russian interference into the 2016 presidential election.
Mueller’s dovetail investigation of Manafort stretches into potential financial wrongdoing dating back to January, 2006.

This is sleaze, and it is reprehensible. In a responsible FBI, no one is above the law (Hillary!), and we are all treated equally. Using tactics appropriate to an armed drug kingpin against a peaceful person makes the entire investigation suspect - as if we did not know that already.

Trump threatens the fat swamp cats like their worst fears imaginable. The wink wink, nudge nudge, of the political class is going to pull out all stops to end Trump. It will only get worse. Trumps speech to the U.N. today framed the political status quo as ineffect feckless morons. They won’t take it well.
There’s a reason we have the Bill of Rights. This is it. Pretending there’s exigent circumstances on matters 11 years old is why. Bankrupting young Hope Hicks is why. Hounding a 33years of service Lt. General is why. I hate that Sessions created all this for a media pat on the head without thinking it through.
The congressional GOP is party to all of this. They just don’t want to leave their fingerprints on the destruction of President Trump.
America’s secret police have worked this angle for more than a year. Either charge Manafort or admit openly that nothing has been found. Either that or admit that there is an ongoing investigation similar to the Mafia and we will have an answer in twenty five years.
This is Banana Republic stuff, without the bananas.
Trump should have tweeted this and their should be a lawsuit via Jay Sekalow...
Mueller thinks he’s a real tough guy. He’s a petty little jerk.
I can only hope that Comey gets the same kind of search warrant treatment. Any guess on when that happens. This is a guy who openly admitted he leaked government documents illegally and not a thing is done.

Mueller's people claim that this tactic of the feds invading a home, guns blazing, doing searches of a spouse, is used "to send a message to other potential witnesses."
Oops....golly gee.
That's not quite the same message the feds sent Hillary, and her staffers, when they met by appointment and weren't even sworn in.
Some Hillary factotums even got immunity for testifying. Chairman Trey Gowdy even took a picture w/ Cheryl Mills after she lied, er, I mean testified to his committee. Talk about kid gloves.
I guess the message is "don't mess with the Swamp."

CNN reported Monday evening that the US government, under President Barack Obama, had wiretapped Donald Trump’s former campaign manager, Paul Manafort — both during after the 2016 presidential campaign. The report vindicates earlier reporting by conservative talk radio host Mark Levin, and by Breitbart News, which the entire mainstream media attempted to dismiss at the time as a “conspiracy theory” to mock Trump and to protect Obama.
The media pounced after President Trump tweeted on March 4: “Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my “wires tapped” in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!” Leading the “conspiracy theory” charge was none other than CNN itself.
Brian Stelter, host of Reliable Sources, wrote at the time that the wiretapping story was an “incendiary idea” floated by Levin, Breitbart News, and others before reaching Trump’s attention. CNN’s Jeff Zeleny specifically reported that the Breitbart News story about the wiretapping had been widely read in the West Wing of the White House.
“Was Breitbart the main source for Trump’s tweet?” Stelter wondered. He had little interest in the underlying story, which had stitched together facts from mainstream media reports in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and other sources. Instead, Stelter and others at CNN poured scorn on the idea...... And so it has.
Literally the entire mainstream media were wrong, and Mark Levin and Breitbart News — and Trump himself — were right. And we were right because the facts were sitting in front of our noses, in bold print at the top of the front page of the New York Times.
