More than 20 small quakes have struck under the volcano in the past week, a rate that’s higher than usual but not unprecedented.
Nearly two dozen small earthquakes have rattled Mount Rainier over the past week, but seismologists say there’s no cause for worry.
“In the past, these swarms last a couple of days to a week or so and then die out,” said Paul Bodin, of the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network at the University of Washington.
The first of the 23 quakes struck on Sept. 11 near the volcano’s summit. The largest of the quakes registered magnitude 1.6.

In light of events over the past few weeks, if I lived near there, I’d worry.
So ignore the science data and go with your visceral feelings?

Concerning Yellowstone: Fox 32 Denver posted September 20th.
According to FOX31’s sister station, there have been 1,200 earthquakes in the park since the beginning of June.
I really love this statement contained in the article:
“We get a lot of calls as to whether people should cancel plans to go to Yellowstone and the answer is decisively no,” he said. “This is how volcanoes act, and it’s pretty normal.”
Seismological data is a lot more predictive than whatever juju you're relying on.

Harmonic tremors?
St. Helens had a lot more activity before erupting including deformation of the ground and much more earthquake activity. When you get a bulge on the flank of Rainer you should get out of the way.
The thing is, before Saint Helens first erupted, not the May 18th eruption but the initial March 27th eruption, there were no warnings. It just started spewing ash. Granted, it was small amounts of ash, but it was an eruption nonetheless. The harmonic tremors then began in earnest after the March 27th eruption.

I’m just saying 3 or 4 hurricanes ( I lost count) in a few weeks is unusual, and something else unusual could happen. Nothing to do with juju stuff.
Mount Rainier is so beautiful.
