A former foreign policy adviser to President Obama is warning there could be trouble if North Korean leader Kim Jong Un chides President Trump over the fact that he lost the popular vote to Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election.
"God save us if Kim Jong Un makes a comment about Hillary's popular vote victory," Ben Rhodes wrote on Twitter Friday.
Trump and North Korea's leader have been locked for months in a war of words and threats that has prompted concern among foreign leaders who fear Washington and Pyongyang may be hurtling toward a confrontation.
Trump said last month that he would unleash "fire and fury" on North Korea if the country continued to threaten the U.S. and its allies.
Despite crushing sanctions, Pyongyang has continued its weapons testing, launching ballistic missiles over Japan and, earlier this month, detonating what North Korean officials claim was a hydrogen bomb.

We have never elected presidents through the popular vote and probably never will. Does Hillary allude to spending more money than Don Trump too? Or drinking more booze?
Since the fall of Saddam, North Korea is the only country in the world which chooses their leader by direct popular vote.
Yeah that makes sense. Not.
The Democrats would love nothing more than to have elections based on who California and New York voted for
I imagine it would look bad for the Hillary crowd if Kim starts sounding like a Democrap.
You mean Ben Rhoads is HOPING that he can persuade Kim to do his bidding!
It really is illuminating.
My guess is that Trump would point out to rocket boy just who it is that sits in the wh with the nuclear codes.
And who doesn’t
Well, just pass him a note like you usually do, lib-scum. Little fat boy will gladly repeat your talking points.
North Korea is a Democracy. We are a representative republic.
God saved us. Trump won.
North Korea is a dictatorship masquerading as a democracy.
Really, this made me at least chuckle. It’s funny and exactly the type of humor conservatives laugh at but makes snowflake liberals “take the vapors.”
Really? Who ran against Kim Jung Un in the last election?
The article doesn’t explain in what sense it would be terrible. Doesn’t explain, doesn’t speculate, just says.
Typical piss-poor writing from The Hill.
Mr Rhodes, we are all not twenty-seven year olds who don’t know anything about anything. As far as Rocket Man is concerned, who cares what he says or thinks. And as far as Ben Rhodes is concerned, the same applies.
Besides, it looks like about 1/4th of California’s illegal alien populace may have shown up at the polls.
And they seem to be in the bull’s eye of Kim’s desires.
Sounds like bammmy’s people are feeding the urchin talking points.
What is especially suspicious about her supposed popular vote win is that her margin over Trump in California was much greater than Obama's margin over Romney in California in 2012...does anyone really think she was a more inspiring candidate for the Democrat base than Obama? Plus California has a lot of Mormons so Romney may have run stronger in California than another Republican would have in 2012.
Wonder if Samantha obamapowers advised on this
