Masterpiece Theater was preempted by that stupid onesided Vietnam “History” by propagandist Ken Burns. So we found “Cloud Atlas” on Netflix. I highly recommend it. Next up is “Grand Budapest Hotel”. And I have 3 more seasons of “3rd Rock” to burn through. So the NFL and its spoiled brats who protest in favor of heroin dealers who poison the players’ own children are way down the list, below even “Ice Road Truckers”.
10 percent is not nearly enough.
The advertisers should get a refund. They didn’t buy into this.
How will hunting be next?
Hunter’s aren’t protesting the national anthem.
Those other things are hard. Taking a knee is easy and costs nothing. They think.
Unless you took a PC and turned it into a home-brewed DVR and use it to record a pirated the cable signal or watch it through an HD antenna, on an old analog TV or a fire walled and unconnected smart TV, then the NFL will receive the revenue from your recording and viewing. They can prove to advertisers that your recorded it, when you watched it, and if you played any of the commercial content. The media and entertainment industry has made its living off of products that are incredibly easy to pirate so the creative genius of humanity has come into play and they are very good at identifying, developing, and protecting revenue opportunities.
Since television has gone digital and every media device is essentially now a full computer so your television viewing can be and is tracked on a massive scale. Don't record the NFL because you will still be feeding the beast.
“You chose a good gf. Sounds like a keeper.”
Thanks. She is!
“He took me at my word and has chosen to see a hockey game instead.”
Nicely done. I’m sure he’ll have a great time.
I binge watched “The Vietnam War” and got a haircut. No more NFL for me!
“I dont see how the NFL gets the genie back in the bottle.”
Seems like the NFL more than doubled down over the weekend. The problem is since the higher-ups are now openly backing their players they have the dilemma of getting back to business, or continuing to kneel. If they stop kneeling, it might look like they’re knuckling under, if they keep kneeling... lol! ;)
Same here.
Maybe they’ll blame the weather being nice and people staying outside instead of watching.
This report specifically didn’t track things such as YoutubeTV (how we access tv) or other streaming services. I’m not saying it’s not down, but there has been a lot of mode shift not included in this rating.
LOL, great idea!
due to climate change of course.......
Don't tell them but doesn't "taking a knee" mean showing respect?......."lower one's body briefly by bending one knee to the ground, typically in worship or as a sign of respect."
I would like to say this will pass but I don't see a way out for the NFL. I think they have permanently damaged their product.
They made Arizona vote again after it refused to support the King Holiday at the ballot box. The NFL threatened to withhold the Super Bowl from Phoenix. Arizona dutifully voted again and accepted their extortion. That was thirty years ago.
