I thought it was being worked in the House Ways and Means Committee, which is why Brady was pushing it.

Rand Paul can support it, but revenue bills must be started in the House. It would be unusual for Senators to create tax reform bills, but they can amend them and do have to sign off on them.

I guess my surprise was the extent to which Gingrich was singling out Ryan as the postcard being his plan, rather than calling it the Republican plan.

Based on the town hall with Brady that I attended, it's clear that the postcard tax form predated the Trump presidency.

I just heard the Newt clip and it is something new coming out of the House in cooperation with the White House.

All the same I’ll never see Ryan as anything but a snake who needs to be primaried.
