“When asked if America will ever get over the sin of slavery, Golden said it will only come when society is intelligent enough to know that just because the nation was founded with that sin, it doesn’t negate the wonder of a self-correcting system of government that liberated blacks and women with time.
After all, he said, it’s not just whites that are privileged, because sometimes it is a privilege to be black, such as being the children of Jay-Z or the Kardashians. People are always born with privileges that others don’t have, he said, and sometimes the privilege of money can actually be a curse, depending on your moral upbringing.
“Some people have the privilege of being born to good, decent, moral parents who pass along a moral code to be a good, decent, giving human being. Whether you are poor or rich, you live your life rich anyway because you understand the true blessings of in life and the true blessings of God. That’s a privilege,” Golden said.
Finally, Golden called the Republican Congress “pathetic” for having begged for power in the House, Senate and White House to repeal Obamacare, and “then, this is what we get? Imagine what the Democrats would do with this trifecta. Look at what they do without it, and then look at us our side.”
