If I were ISIS I’d set a guy like that up, then leave before the shooting started. He wanted to commit suicide anyway, and apparently wanted to take others with. ISIS could easily have set him up.

Just speculating.

This guy was ripe for it. But that setup isn’t limited to ISIS. Judging by the amount of available weaponry he may have been expecting help.

If ISIS “set him up” why would they immediately claim `credit’ for it? The reason you set up a `patsy’ is so you can deny involvement.
I like a good conspiracy theory as much as the next guy but to paraphrase Freud, sometimes a murderous maniac is just a murderous maniac.
The `law of parsimony’ is that often the simplest explanation is the correct one. What we do know is that Stephen Paddock was an evil, twisted sister.
