The problem is that the economy is not improving because the middle class has been decimated. Interest on savings would allow savings to compound, provide an incentive to save, and would provide income which Seniors would spend, a lot of it in the local economy. EVerify and tariffs against unfair competition would do more to help US citizens than any scheme that helps the rich. Us little folk are past fed up with CEOs and other members of the ruling class receiving multi-million dollar wages and benefits while the rest of us have trouble getting enough income to break even.

What is wrong with that? It is only part of the reform. Even an ameoba knows you should start the conversation by saying.. poor people will get more tax deduction. More people will qualify for paying significantly less or be getting Paid.
The middle class.. well the devil is in the details.
If it’s normal tax reform the poor pay less or Get Paid. The middle class will have a larger percentage of their income tax, wealthy people may have to give up an extra cup of Starbucks each month.

Simple math and simple fairness.

If you or you family don’t pay income taxes nor contribute beyond a bare minimum, you should not get refunds nor a lower tax rate.

Not quite true. There’s a reason the data is being obfuscated in this article.

A look at percentage of earnings paints a different picture...

And why the bottom 60%? lumping (some) middle-class wage earners in with the leaches who live off government welfare and EIC, sort of skews the picture as well.

The bottom 60 percent collectively paid $0. Actually, the IRS paid them $17 billion, thanks to refundable tax credits.

Grrrrrr! Blood boiling-- the 60% that use the most government services.

Yes, US tax cuts will mainly benefit those who … pay the most taxes (So, what's the problem?)

We need to keep saying this at the top of our lungs over and over and that is the following fact on Taxes.

90% of the Taxes collected by the I.R.S. comes from the top 10% of the population in the U.S. This is a fact!!!

This is the main reason we need Tax reform and Tax Cuts all across the board.

Are you listening you nitwits Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell???

This is why we only need 3 Tax brackets which I think it is the fair thing to do.

If we can just get Congress to cut or eliminate a lot of these unnecessary programs and duplicate programs that we have in the national budget.

A lot of Freepers know these facts already, we just need Congress to implement the necessary programs to make government work for everybody. People in this country think that our Government is an entitlement program. It is not!!! Nobody in this country is entitled to one thing from the government period!

Tell me again, how in the world did we get to a $4.1 Trillion dollar annual budget and a $20 Trillion dollar deficit???

Our Congress let that America Hating Piece of Work Obama contribute at least $11 to $12 Trillion dollar deficit and W. Bush contributed $5.5 Trillion deficit. With friends like these who needs enemies?

Thank God we have President Trump looking at where and how our tax dollars are being spent. It has been way too long since we had a president like President Trump.
