A timely and stunning statistic befitting the recent death of Americas patriarch of pornography: a shocking 110 million Americans -- over one-third of our population -- are saddled with a sexually transmitted disease. According to the New York Times,.......
Nevertheless, and no-doubt taking their cues from perverts like Hefner, this past July, Teen Vogue -- a magazine whose target audience is teenage girls -- took it upon themselves to instruct their young readers on the finer points of sodomy. The article, entitled Anal Sex: What You Need to Know and subtitled, How to do it the RIGHT way, declares itself to be anal 101, for teens, beginners, and all inquisitive folk. The garbage piece ends with this shocking admission:

Those of us who remember the Eisenhower years probably saw our nation at it's greatest.
The 1960's: Hugh Hefner + the "british invasion" + the "Summer of Love" = the beginning of the decline of our culture.

I was a little one when the Brits invaded. I preferred Mitch Miller to them. That bouncing 🏀 helped me learn to read.

The culture changed fast. When I graduated from grade school, no one was divorced. When my sister graduated, 50% of the class was divorced. Insane!

When I was 17 (a *long* time ago) I thought that Heffner was the coolest guy on earth. But for a number of years now I've seen him for what he always was...a filthy, worthless, amoral pig.

That was depressing to read, I had no idea of the scope of STDs.

Yep...we enjoy watching the reruns of the game shows of that era. When men were men, the ladies were ladies, and people conducted themselves in mature fashion

The 1960's: Hugh Hefner + the "british invasion" + the "Summer of Love" = the beginning of the decline of our culture. Heffner? Absolutely."Summer of Love"? Absolutely.British Invasion? No way.

LOL! I came back to the states in ‘63 after my Dad had a two year assignment in London. Does that make me part of the British invasion? I did bring a Beatles record with me. Possibly one of the first ones to enter the country. Love Me Do and the flip was Please Please Me. ;-) (I think those were the ones. 50+ years ago and I don’t have it now!)

When I was a kid (a *long* time ago) growing up in Massachusetts I learned how to spell the name of my state by learning the lyrics of this song...which was a pretty big hit locally (but not nationally).
With God as my Judge I still,to *this* day, think of the lyrics whenever I write the name of my state! :-)

May these words burn into people's eyes NOW,
because after death, it's too late.
And P.S., there is no such thing as Purgatory, unless it's for skiing in Colorado..

Hefner’s legacy included leaving two remarkably ugly sons and a daughter (!) he put in as CEO of the pornographic video business. Add that to the remarkable, disease-ridden filth of the “Playboy mansion” in LA. What a prince of a “man”.

I once read a piece which chronicled just how many women who were associated with the magazine met violent, premature and ugly deaths.Wish I could find it...I saw it a couple of years ago.

The british invasion brought us the “counter culture” attitude. That is the seed of the most destructive element of our social decay now, the self centered attitude where the world is all about “me” and my feelings.
