In my line of work and in my life, that means the only place where I'll do this sort of thing right now is: (1) for business-related airline travel (maybe once a year), and (2) business meetings in government buildings (maybe 3-4 times a year).

To be effective, it would need to be done nationwide at all high-rises, apartments included.

A Freeper from Clark county could help answer this. Nevada is an open carry state, but I think Clark County/Las Vegas is more discreet. I think that there is nothing illegal about having guns in your room if you are staying at the hotel (Nevada doesn't call it Castle Law, but their law reads similar to other states Castle Doctrines). To be armed and walking around the lobby or casino is a different matter and, again, someone local to Clark County could probably clarify what the laws are.
When training at ranges near Vegas, I have stayed at Vegas hotels and carried my cased guns to the room, usually trying to be as discrete about it as I can. If they make it where the hotels don't allow that, then I wont be patronizing those hotels anymore.
This not like a NY or NJ airport where you would most likely get arrested if your tried to check your firearm through on a layover. The law would have to be substantially changed in Nevada.
The Hotels won't be able to sustain this and any searches are just knee jerk security theater. They will revert back after the economic impact takes hold.

After the left gets the big smackdown and pipes down about gun confiscation, they’ll turn their efforts on pushing for TSA everywhere.

Right after 9/11 the Bellagio was screening every Car going into their Parking Garage. They screened mine.
The Protocol will apply to Luggage. Very easy to wand a Bag, either at the entrance or by the Elevator Lobbies without causing too much trouble.
I think the Hotel Guests would be just fine with it.
Exactly. John Rappaport has stated that in fact that is part of the agenda of this event. Not only does the event in Las Vegas enhance (for the liberal) the agenda of gun grabbing, it also enhances their argument for increasing the controlled nanny state.
So every hotel over 10 stories in major population centers will have airport style security?
And the whole thing with Vegas is customer service, privacy, not customer searches, scans, x-rays, shakedowns etc. That’s not going to go well.

Nope it was spent shell. Looked like .223 or 5.56. Apparently Paddock had weapons that fired themselves after their operator passed on. /s

The casings were already on the floor. When the suspect shot himself he fell and blood from his head flowed around the casing on the floor.
Very easy to wand it, but you will generate false positives like crazy. And what do you once the wands beeps? Go through people's bags by hands? That would never work, you'd need to then run it through an x-ray. It is a non-starter.

it's called the "high incident project". they want to make the american public think that places with extremely high security aren't safe. they are trying to create more regulations. you will see laws proposed within the next few years to put up more metal detectors and other security devices. media and politicians will be saying places with lots of police need even more police. i can't guarantee anything will happen tomorrow but las vegas is on their minds. -john
if their plan is successful state of nevada will pass a law in the future making all casinos have mandatory metal detectors and backscatter machines. soon after a federal law will be passed to put these machines in universities, high schools, federal buildings, you name it. osi systems and chertoff are the main producers of these machines. sometime around 2020 chertoff and osi will merge into a single company. after they merge the owners will sell off all their stock and make billions in profit. mr chertoff has been in contact with sheldon adelson. mr adelson will become a huge sponsor of these machines and he will be the first to put them in his casinos when the law passes. this is my last message for now. don't expect me to return anytime soon -john

What do you suggest? My Carry bag was searched by the TSA on two occasions because I had a small container of Talcum Powder in with my toiletries.
I’m sure it had nothing to do with the fact that my Carry On is a small Duffel Bag emblazoned with an NRA Logo. LOL
