ROCKPORT, Maine — Ending months of speculation, Sen. Susan Collins, R-Maine, announced Friday she will forgo a run for governor to stay in the Senate, where she has become a crucial swing vote in Republicans’ narrow two-seat majority.
“I want to continue to play a key role in advancing policies,” Collins said at a Chamber of Commerce breakfast at a golf resort here. “I have concluded that the best way that I can contribute to these priorities is to remain a member of the United States Senate."

Being a Mainiac, I’d rather share her with the rest of the country than have her 100% allocated to Maine. However, given an option, I’d just like her to disappear forever.

Name one bill in Congress that Collins authored that got anywhere. There are none.
The ONLY thing she does is block, block, block FOR the Democrats. It is THEIR policies she is always advancing.

When I see her on TV I am puzzled how she ever got elected. She comes across like a empty headed cocktail waitress.
I’m with you Damn! I was sure she was going to run for governor. Crystal ball going wonky over here. Perhaps she can lose the primary - she is RINO epitomized.
