Long Island (Firefighters) Bagpipe band knocks kneeling, won’t play for Jets

A Nassau bagpipe band has passed on the Jets’ invite to play during halftime over NFL players taking a knee during the national anthem, officials said Friday.
A Jets group sales representative asked the Nassau County Firefighters Pipes and Drums Band early this week to entertain the crowd during the Nov. 2 game against the Buffalo Bills at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, said band manager Bobby Hughes, an original member of the band and an East Meadow volunteer firefighter.

It will be a long long time.
I haven’t even watched the Super Bowl for a number of years, so this is an easy one for me.
When they started putting pretty girls on the sidelines instead of seasoned players who knew what they were talking about, it didn’t impress me.

Complicated answer. Historically, college football has been a huge money maker for big schools. But over the last five years, attendance at college football games has dropped every year. A few players at smaller schools have ‘taken a knee’. But if any player tried that at a big school, they’d lose their scholarship - they would be seen as reducing attendance even more.
