Republican are afraid to deep six it because they are exempt and insurance companies have oodles of cash, while your small hospitals struggle to pay their bills and close.
subsidies to health insurance companies that help pay out of pocket costs of low-income people.
Obamacare is a ponzi scheme.
bfl
why he failed to take it before now.
It's also a major racial spoils distribution scheme, statistically speaking. Look at the demographics of who winds up with government-paid premiums versus those whose premiums have doubled or tripled.
If it was “affordable” care, why would subsidies be needed??????
LOL Great One Andrew C. McCarthy ...
Obamacare screws younger Americans to pay health care costs of older people. Republicans are afraid to dismantle Obamacare because their constituents tend to be older, while younger people are more likely to be Democrats.
Democrats are busted. It was designed to fail with an immediate rescue by single payer from Hellary. Unfortunately for them...
Outstanding. A must-send to anyone you know (and don’t we all?) who is in a panty twist over how meeeaaann President Trump is!
He had to get a slap in somehow.
It’s ‘Transfer of Wealth’ scheme...................
They don’t call it the Executive Branch for nuthin’...
Even though this is written by one of the turds floating around in the National Review cesspool, it is a very good explanation of what is going on, and not anti-trump as usual.
“mandatory coverage of pre-existing conditions”
I am not so sure its that exactly. For me at least, I want my coverage to not lapse. If I have coverage from company A, say thru my employer, I want company B of a new employer to cover it without a waiting period.
Actually, I think thats how it pretty much is: when you go to a new employer I think you get to sign up no questions asked during a certain window...
Even handed works for me... he has issues with Trump but it doens't stop him for telling the larger truth. It's a 'way back' for nevertrumpers and their publications. You're right - Andrew C. McCarthy is worth reading.
Yes, it’s the mark of ‘nevertrumpers’ even those working at redeeming themselves...
The subsidy payments to insurance companies may be critical to sustaining the ACA, but they are not provided for in the ACA. The Obamacare law did not appropriate them. No legislation appropriates them. They are and have always been illegal.
...
Can we sue Obama to get the money back? The Kenyan homo is mansion shopping, after all. He’s got deep pockets from a career in corrupt politics.
Here is the question. Does money have a ceiling of importance in politics? That is a very important question to answer. Because it may not matter how much money insurance companies and drug companies have.
It could be that after you buy the Facebook ads for pennies on the dollar. And after you buy the TV and Cable ads for dimes on the dollar. And you buy the yard signs and pollsters, and consultants, there is nothing more that money can buy. And more is not much better than less after a while. So if the efficacy of money is disappearing then politicians will need to listen to the voters more and the big money, less.
If you watch Bannon and McConnell you see the struggle. McConnell gets his power from Pacs that he controls. He survives by dishing out the money to other congressmen. Bannon is trying to wrestle away the government from the big money Pacs, especially in the republican party.
