I know your comment was sarcasm, but my first thought when I read it was,”Why the heck is this guy on FreeRepublic?”
I’d rather just reject celebrities...
Um, I'm not sure people firing at an occupied hotel full of innocent guests is a good idea. Besides, they were at a concert, and even IF they were allowed to carry a weapon into it, they'd have handguns, not rifles. The distance to the hotel (32nd floor) was around 400 yards. I'm no ballistics expert, but I think that might be beyond the effective range for a handgun, and you couldn't possibly be even remotely accurate with a handgun at that range. You'd be lucky if your rounds were within 50 feet of where you were aiming.
But really, the more important point is that people firing blindly back at someone surrounded by other innocent people, isn't the right response. You should never shoot without considering what is near or behind your target. Or at least, that's what I've always been told.
Hey celebrities, when you reject your ARMED BODYGUARDS and your walled mansions with security systems, then I’ll think about rejecting the NRA, for maybe 2 second, then say to you: ‘NoF**kingWay, Jerks!’
Need to have celebrities like Robert DeNiro return their licenses to carry.
Any left winger needs to surrender their license and firearm.
I’m a military veteran. Therefore, I don’t hide. I shoot back.
I’ll try to remember to tag my sarcasm from now on.
She could make a pretty good living doing porn, along with Jessica Chastain.
I certainly have no interest in hearing anything they have to say, especially if it isn’t written by someone else.

Emma Stone:
I wonder whose marbles she harbled to get to where she is now, because She isn’t very attractive and not super talented.
Now there are some credible sources of information. One has to wonder just who is writing their script for this release.
Amoral, egotistical, hypocrites pretending to be concerned. If it wern’t so disgusting it could be funny.
If Emma lets me go full "Harvey" on her, I might turn in one of my guns.
C'mon Emma, there's the couch. Quid pro quo.
Funny, I’m urging Americans to reject Hollywood
Well, first of all, this man would need a high-powered rifle and need to be good with it, since his target would have been about 1500 feet away. And then, he would have had to account for the reflection of Paddock’s gunfire off a number of the hotel windows and thus determine which flashes were the actual guns. Otherwise, he would fire into another suite and possibly take innocent lives.
To #63 and #77. I didn’t say that a person who was legally carrying a handgun had to be in the concert area. He could have been a policeman or security guard on the outside perimeters closer to the hotel.
Also, if they could see the rifle flashes and broken windows, they would be shooting at a very specific target, not shotgunning it all over the place.
The sound of return fire and shots possibly hitting in the vicinity of the two windows used by the shooter, might have temporarily stopped him and forced him to move from one room to another.
My son did that with an Iraqi/possibly fedeyeen sniper in Iraq, for a long time as the sniper moved from window to window, got off a burst and then moved again. My son had to anticipate his movements and where he might pop-up like a whack-a-mole. Just as my son thought he knew where the sniper would show up next, an M1 Abrams tank came by and blew up the building, sniper and all.
My son was pissed as he really wanted to take out this guy. It was personal, a duel between a sniper and a counterfire sharpshooter protecting his men.
