L.A. Marches Against Trump — Where’s the March Against Sexual Abuse in Hollywood?

Thousands of protesters are expected to gather in downtown Los Angeles Saturday for a march against President Donald Trump. But there has yet to be any kind of public demonstration against sexual harassment and sexual assault in Hollywood, several weeks into a scandal that has implicated some of L.A.’s most powerful personalities — many of whom are also among the Democratic Party’s biggest backers.

The L.A. demonstrations are organized by a group called Refuse Fascism, which has defended Antifa’s use of violence, calling it self-defense against violence from the far right.

And yet nothing is being done to protest on behalf of women, and even children, victimized by Hollywood superstars.

The leftists marching in Los Angeles have not marched against Hollywood studio heads, “A-list” stars, and media companies who are among 63 accused of misconduct thus far.

They have not marched against Harvey Weinstein, against whom a New York Police Department detective reportedly says there is enough evidence for an arrest.

They have not marched against against House of Cards star Kevin Spacey, who has been accused of raping an underage boy.

They have not marched against television star Jeremy Piven, who has denied allegations of sexual assault.

They have not marched against Oscar-winning legend Dustin Hoffman, who has been accused of sexual harassment.

They have not marched against superstar director Brett Ratner, who has denied multiple allegations from six women.

Hollywood stars are often in the front rank of protesters against Trump. Earlier this year, they donned their “pussyhats” to protest his inauguration.

And yet there have been no women’s marches in Hollywood, no vigils for the victims of decades of abuse.

In that sense, Saturday’s protest is not about opposition to Trump, but about Hollywood’s enduring hypocrisy.

I bet antifa is into the same things the Hollywood perverts are into. I bet some of them are drooling at those nice young men. Oh, and maybe women, too.

I said it before across multiple Weinstein (and now Spacey) articles, so I apologize for the repetition. However, I feel strongly that this is a golden opportunity to not "let a serious crisis go to waste." Except here, we're not being slimy collectivists, but upright citizens.

Mind you, I really do not like the idea of using the behavior of dirtbags and the tears of actresses/the misfortune of an innocent as a weapon against an enemy (to quote another Freeper). Real men would take these losers out back and beat some sense into them. I am also a free market capitalist and I don't want to regulate anything unless it is in line with the intent of the Founders.

All that said, we're dealing with the lowest of the low. If the Republicans had any sense of testicular fortitude - or a desire to MAGA for ALL individuals - they'd call a press conference and say:

"Democrats are clearly pro-misogyny. Silence equals consent. They said nothing while one of their fundraisers roamed as a sexual predator in Hollywood.

"It is sad that the loudest Democrat since this story broke has been Hillary Clinton, as she acknowledged that the Oval Office has seen a sexual predator - her husband.

"The Republican leadership asks the Democrats to reject harboring of anti-woman fundraisers, and join us as we announce the start of hearings on the civil rights of individuals amidst this poisonous atmosphere in Hollywood, with an eye toward regulating studios and actors and actresses under the Commerce Clause as so many Democrats have with other parts of the economy."

Others have noted that the Republicans likely have skeletons in their closet and there is a risk in this approach. I agree, but maybe it's time to man-up and clean the Augean Stables. Frankly, I don't care if it's Hollywood or Wall Street or Main Street or K Street...this isn't the way real men act.

Yes, some people may have not spoken out for a variety of reasons. Nobody knows what is in the heart of mankind. I will not be the first one to cast a stone, and based on some of my readings, there is a lot of internal sorrow going around nowadays. That, to me, is enough punishment but the good news is, there is always room for forgiveness FOR THOSE WHO SEEK IT WITH CONTRITION.

All that said, there is always love, but there is also justice. Many of us need to step up - the time to act is upon us. From Moses to St Joseph to men of fidelity throughout history, now is the time for Deplorables to reclaim the mantle of "compassion" from the statists, and expose their War on Women. Who among us is willing to put thought into action, and in our daily lives when we encounter even a modicum of this behavior, to speak out forcefully?
