A congressional bill that would compel the Palestinian Authority to end its compensation program for the families of convicted terrorists in Israel with the threat of an aid cut will reach a critical vote in the House Foreign Affairs Committee next Wednesday.

The Palestinian Authority passionately opposes the bill, claiming that its "martyr" compensation scheme benefits generations of families that include those of legitimate combatants in the Palestinian struggle for independence. Israel argues that the program is a perverse incentive for Palestinian violence against innocent civilians.

In principle, US President Donald Trump and his administration have condemned the program. However, they have stopped short of endorsing the Taylor Force Act, cognizant of PA opposition and the effects its passage might have on their effort to reboot the Middle East peace process.

The bill is named after an American Army veteran murdered by a Palestinian terrorist in Tel Aviv last year. If passed, the PA would have to end its compensation program, which provides monthly stipends to Palestinians convicted of murder or terrorism in Israel relative to the length of their prison sentences.

After negotiating some wiggle room into the bill, granting the PA time to phase out the program, Democrats have endorsed the GOP-drafted legislation wholeheartedly. It enjoys support from top Democrats in both the House and the Senate, and the backing of America's largest Israel advocacy organization, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee.

We can have some compassion. When they acknowledge Israel’s right to exist and drop their weapons, perhaps we help with humanitarian aid. They can get a check weekly every week they don’t kill Jews. For every Jew they murder, that number of weeks’ checks are forfeited. There is the monetary incentive for them.

Why on gods earth do we waste national resources on these sub humans? president Trump, I implore you, take the ultimate leadership action and stop funding these simians. The entire world hates you anyway, so I say do big things that will never ever be done. Why is the US directly funding this multigenerational conflict? Why are we paying for this war and terror action decade after decade. The PA has made it absolutely clear that they will never ever stop no matter what. My bones are getting old and My health is starting to go to $hit, and I am really resentful that any of my time working has gone to fund a perpetual war, and lavish lifestyles for their leaders floating high above their sea of poverty. Do it! Cut them off! Protect your people. The left worldwide will screech at volume 11 as they feel terrorist oligarchs are more deserving of the benefits of our labor than we are individually or publicly. The good news is the entire US is so used to 24/7 outrage and breathless hyperbole that the reaction cutting aid to the PA will be virtually indistinguishable from the reaction to you tweeting that Rosie is fat, just background noise. Please Mr President do it. If you do not nobody ever will. Need we buy Omars next Rolls royce? pay for tunnel construction? Pay for weapons, and bombs? US taxpayers fund all of those things and I resent it. /rant
