John Profumo must be laughing from his grave. His transgression would be small potatoes these days.

Menendez is probably corrupt in his dealings with the doctor and influence peddling. However, this corruption pales in comparison to Senators and Reps that push through “sweet heart” legislation for Unions, and business and most importantly banking and trade associations all of which is quite legal and a moral cesspit of influence peddling. Why do big corporations and Wall Street fund leftist Democrats? The answer is simple, they are all for sale as are many Republicans but not all.

With rare exceptions Congress is for sale to the highest bidder. Most of the exceptions are those that are the Tea Party.

Big Business, Big Banks, Labor Unions. and organized left wing extremists act in a totally rational manner. Each have their own agenda and buy the legislation that benefits them.

As mentioned, most of Congress IS FOR SALE TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER.

Forgot to add this comment, Menedez is no fool. He sure as hell would not have went to bed with an underage hooker if he knew she was not of age. There are many young beautiful hookers that are 18 years old.

If he did, he did not know.

I am no fan of Menendez but just commenting as I see it. He is probably a pretty scummy individual.

That's what I was thinking.

What makes Judge Moore so "dangerous"?

He is a no nonsense, cut to the chase, statesman.

And, he happens to be a very moral man.

The Repubes don't want him anywhere close to their little domain.

We are dealing with the personality of the sociopath here.

They do evil because they like it.

Sociopaths are drawn to politics because it rewards good liars.

That is the short version.

This is the long version:

...”What is really pathetic is that we aren't’t talking about one or two isolated incidents, or some bogus dossier created from rumor and innuendo, we’re talking about multiple serious crimes and a pattern of behavior which is utterly revolting, sleazy, perverted, and corrupt.

What is wrong with these politicians and celebrities that they have to pay for prostitutes and/or prey on young girls. Are they so repulsive that they are completely incapable of attracting an adult woman?”...

Pedophilia is a particularly disgusting and evil lust to have. It is set apart from regular old sexual perversion and insatiability for the unbelievable harm it leaves behind. Grown women and men can recover from sexual abuse but children rarely ever do. As I have grown older and have watched powerful men, nearly to a man, adopt a life of sexual conquests, because they can, I have come to believe that it is the availability of sexual thrills which motivates the more aggressive male to try and acquire power and wealth. Often those who cannot gain that perk through legitimate means will use abuse or other means to gain what they want. The well of sexual thrill has no depth. Like all thrills, what the obsessed want is always a bigger thrill, something new to try. The desires of human beings can never be met without God and without a conscience. When we look at some famous men from past history, what do we think about and feel sad about first of all. For me, it was the loss of respect and of losing my heroes because they proved themselves not to be in control of the most important and intimate part of their lives, their sexuality and it's secrets. Is this problem the central core of the “swamp,” and is this the main reason so many do not want it cleaned up? It this the reason for the cover of fake news and so much of the insanity we see today? I hope Maya Angelo’s “Caged Bird,” will sing loud and long enough to clean a good portion of this mess up, at least, for now.

The GOP establishment would rather lose the seat to a Democrat than see it won by an anti-establishment candidate, even if of their own party.

That was also true in the Presidential election last year.

Okay McConnell, jump on this, which has more credibility, with the same vigor you did with Moore, over an accusation with absolutely no credibility.

The other thing that is interesting if I read the report correctly is that the Defense is introducing this accusation into the proceedings as a strawman to knock down as the Prosecution has not introduced it themselves? Huh?

I think the answer is yes.

We need as much swamp draining as possible and as soon as possible. These scum need to be taken off the streets and out of government and business.

Thanks for the insightful post.

I thought this was common knowledge.
IIRC there were allegations of Slick Willie and even Alan Dershowitz being ‘guests’ on the Menendez plane to paradise.

Given it is a Democrat in a blue state, I’ve assumed a not guilty verdict or hung jury.

As a Jewess on the US, I can only point out that the number of women who allegedly DATED, but had no sex with, Roy Moore is EXACTLY the same number who accused President Clinton of FORCIBLE RAPE, a FAR more serious offense. Now we know why all REAL Americans put our 2nd Amendment FIRST. Just sayin’!
