The Justice Department’s declaration that Attorney General Jeff Sessions is considering appointing a special counsel to investigate Hillary Clinton in response to demands by Republicans should alarm anyone who cares about the independence of the department.
On Monday, news broke that the department had sent a written response to letters from House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.), requesting investigations into “a plethora of matters connected to the 2016 election and its aftermath.” Sessions confirmed the content of the DOJ letter during his testimony Tuesday before the House Judiciary Committee.
Goodlatte’s letter reads like a laundry list of Republican grievances about Clinton and former FBI director James B. Comey — Clinton’s role in approving the sale of a Canadian uranium company to Russia, international dealings of the Clinton Foundation, the FBI’s reliance on a dossier compiled by Fusion GPS in its investigation of the Trump campaign and the FBI’s handling of the investigation of Clinton’s private email server, among other things — all pet causes of President Trump’s political base.

Words fail me. Outrage over treason and corruption is now a “pet cause.”
After reading that, I think I need to just shut the computer off and rest my aching head.
Oh my God. The corruption in reporting.
Meanwhile, in court filings today, we learn that Fusion GPS continues to beef up its legal team. Today, Robert F. Muse (Cunningham Levy Muse) and Steven Mark Salky (Zuckerman Spaeder) submitted their notices to the Court that they are representing Fusion GPS.
Near as I can tell, her argument is that since Hillary has evaded prosecution for many long years, then it would be “wrong” to put her in prison now.
Of course not we already know the drill, Democrats are NEVER EVER guilty of anything..don’t even bother even investigating them, they are innocent as snow..but Republicans, bring up ANY bogus charge and automatically GUILTY GUILTY GUILTY, its TREASON, IMPEACH, prosecute, off with their heads!

The alarm should be over the partisan Democrat lynch mob that is after Trump for a non-crime, and the lack of pursuit of Hillary and her partisan henchmen.
I agree. She should be dragged straight to the firing squad. Everyone knows of her crimes against humanity the past 30+ years.
