2. I had to read this in UK news, because US MSM fails to report it.
Gutsy, typically Trumpian and non-political call. No one who has merely been accused of something, where there is no way of coming up with any evidence 40 years after the fact, should cave.
Otherwise we’ll wind up with a UK-like witch hunt (Google the recent cases of TV personalities being prosecuted based on ‘he said/she said’ allegations of behaviours from 40+ years ago! That’s madness.
I still don’t like Moore very much due to his behavior on the bench as a Justice of the Alabama S Ct.
Let the people of Alabama decide. Fortunately there is enough time left for people to digest what’s been happening. If these allegations had come out a week or two before the election he would probably have lost.
Funny, as liberal and left wing European news is, they still print things that make US media uncomfortable.
Good!
The President believes that these allegations are very troubling and should be taken seriously. He believes the people of Alabama should take the decision on who their next senator should be,
I don't see either breaking silence (unless he was inhabiting the body of Sarah Sanders) or support of Moore in there. He doesn't seem to want to get involved, which is a shame. He could rally support for Moore or maybe force him out, instead it appears he's doing nothing.
Asked whether Mr Trump still stood by his endorsement of Mr Moore, Ms Sanders said: This is a decision for the people of Alabama to make, not one for him to make.
So very very supportive, eh?
