“Royal engagement announcement brings attention to Catholic school”
The school, founded by Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1906, tried to put the engagement news in perspective, at least on social media. Its Nov. 27 tweet said: Over 10,000 women of great heart and right conscience have graduated from Immaculate Heart, and we are proud to count actress and humanitarian @meghanmarkle among them. Today, we send her our very best wishes as she celebrates her engagement to His Royal Highness Prince Harry.
Weve been proud of Meghan for a long time, said Webb of Markles advocacy for gender equality and clean drinking water and her work with the United Nations as a womens advocate for political participation and leadership.
Thats very much in keeping with the goal of all our students, she told Catholic News Service Nov. 28, adding that it reflects the schools mission, which encourages students to become women of great heart and right conscience through leadership, service and a lifelong commitment to Christian values.

I wish them the best if they get married. Hopefully, they will stay married as long as the current king and queen have.
I was referring to the decidedly earth-bound political supports for having an expensive monarchy in the form of a natural family. Every leftist and globalist tenet flies in the face of such an institution. The left has actually revelled in the idea that now that gay marriage is legalized, there could someday be two queens on the throne, either males or females. So what I was looking at was a crack in the armor of tradition that UK “republicans” will cherish to advance their desire to rid the nation of traditions and advance the globalist agenda, in which there is no freedom for individuals protected by the privacy of family, community, private property or the continuity of tradition.
Thought of you as I came across an article in the Guardian just now. Thr writer typically writes about church history amd Church of England affairs. Here, I don’t think he articulates his logic well, but I agree that there is some echo of Heaven in the whole matter.
“How Meghan Markle might bring the royals closer to Christ the King.”
Sorry, meant to say married as long as the Queen and Prince Philip.
His is a hopeful article. However, given how spitefully mean her remarks about Donald Trump have been, I have lost interest completely in her and in Harry. i wish them no harm and hope her conversion is sincere, and maybe I’ll live long enough to hear how well it all went. But I’m not going to hold my breath in anticipation.
