And I hear the queen did not have to give her blessing to the marriage, yet did. He could have married her anyways but would have to give up his title, etc if the queen disallowed the marriage. I don’t like the guy after seeing him hang out with the Obama’s in Chicago and the way I hear he treated Melania.
I like her in “Suits,” I think it’s called (a legal drama that takes place in Toronto). She is a beautiful woman.
But the Queen can’t be happy with her grandson marrying a divorcee.
I think she’s very attractive. Am surprised at the vitriol I read on there regarding her looks. Can’t say I don’t blame them for questioning her character (claims of social climber and questionable morals) and suitability for their prince though. I have read that the queen forbid her sister from marrying a divorcee and keeping her title, as it was not the thing to do back then. But a doting grandma will always make allowances for her grandkids :)

I have to say that a lot of the vitriol that I have seen is nothing other than racism, plain and simple. I know it’s easy to throw that charge out but in this case it is justified.
I am disappointed that so many Americans looking at an attractive American woman, a proudly “mongrel” American who has made a success of her life, should buy into the snooty idea that she is not good enough to marry a British prince.
I thought that issue was settled in 1776.

I notice it’s mostly those from the UK making those sort of comments. And I agree, I think it pretty much is due to racism, sadly.
when are they gonna stop all this “king- queen royal family” nonsense....the whole thing is so ridiculous. That country is one giant depressing welfare state, yet these idiots waltz around untouched by it all, kept in wealth, and for what reason? They actually wear crowns on their heads...liquidate that whole thing and quit embarrassing themselves..its 2017 for Gods sake.
The British press will love it. Imagine their revenue as they detail every disagreement between the lovebirds and the eventual break-up. Everyone will reap rewards from the couple’s engagement, to the wedding build up, and the married rows. I’m sure the Queen is thinking that she won’t be on the throne forever and so it won’t be her monkeys or her circus.
I’m beginning to think Harry wishes he was black.

I once believed that, too.
However, Harry looks so much like his grandfather when Prince Phillip was Harry’s age it’s astonishing.
