After receiving more than 5,000 tips, Tampa police have arrested a suspect in the serial killings that have left the city in fear for the last 51 days.

I suspect if the serial killer had been white, this would be 24/7 international news....

Victims usually resemble their killers. So this isn’t much of a surprise. This guy basically turned himself in. None of those “tips” helped.

During an investigation like this cops have tips coming from literally everywhere. People try to turn in their neighbors, ex-lovers, bosses, etc... So you can throw away 90% of these tips out of hand. The thing that catches these killers nowadays is getting lucky with a video from a local business that happens to catch a license plate or face shot of the killer, or (in this case) the killer does something monumentally dumb.
