The pizza at my high school was actually pretty good. The dough and sauce were made in house. Since I worked in a local pizza shop I helped out getting the flavors right.
They used real bulk Italian sausage, too.

Found these in the grocery a few years back. They are pretty close to the classic public school pizza-shingle.
