There is nothing there to take him down with.

The senate will end up looking extra stupid.

They should remember how foolish Joe Biden looked after attacking Clarence Thomas, then having to vote to confirm him.

Do these people have any sense at all?

Franken will be gone tomorrow. <

When are we going to see the names of those that paid off sexual harassment claims exposed?

There is an interesting precedent from the turn of the last century (circa 1902, if I recall).

The U.S. Senate did not want to seat Senator Reed Smoot from Utah because he had allegedly not formally renounced polygamy even though he had never practiced it. The guy leading the charge was a famous philander.

After months of hearings and debates, he was voted in. One senate colleague stated that "If we can seat a monogamist which doesn't monog, there is no reason we can't seat a polygamist which doesn't polyg."

Moore is squeeky clean and has no need for cover.

The senate is going to get renewed if they try this idiotic crap.

The Democrats will throw Moore in the face of every Republican candidate for the House and the Senate. “Do you support Senator Moore?” “Do you agree with him that all those women are liars?”

And, the answer to that would be, "Moore, unlike members of Congress, hasn't paid off on any sexual harassment claims. We should release the names of each and every member of Congress that has done so."

Moore apparently rehabilitated himself >30 years ago.

‘Rats need to show a better example of reconstruction.

The “ethics” committees need to be investigated for their decades of covering-up ethics violations. A bigger kabuki theater does not exist.

“Bah. If Franken does not resign, Moore isn’t going to see a minute of “grilling”. This explains the pressure to remove Franken recently. But I doubt Franken is willing to “take one for the team” and resign.”

It’s a done deal. He will probably have the show right after Madcow.

Moore dated for at least 20 years before he got married.

Ladies....ask your hubby what he did before you...and I'd bet the sink you don't give an answer.

This whole thing has gone much too far...the rape centers are ringing like crazy with no end in sight.

Either report it or shut up.

A fight Judge Moore will enjoy.

After listening to him on Hannity, I'm not so sure. He did not seem to "think on his feet" very well and struggled with pretty softball questions. The Senate will bring much tougher questions and be outright hostile. Hopefully he was just having a bad day and will be able to acquit himself far better in the senate.

McConnell really doesn’t want to go down that road.

Moore was in the Marines when Marines were strongly advised to stay single. He gets out and moves to rural Alabama. Somebody please tell me what the heck other demographic is available to 30 year old single former military serviceman???

Wrong.

McConnell et al are the ones who need to acquit themselves.
