I will quickly and decisively bomb the hell out of ISIS, Trump, who would name legendary Marine Corps Gen. James Mattis as secretary of defense, promised. We will not have to listen to the politicians who are losing the war on terrorism."
Just over a year later, ISIS has been routed from Iraq and Syria with an ease and speed that's surprised even the men and women who carried out the mission. Experts say it's a prime example of a campaign promise kept. President Trump scrapped his predecessors rules of engagement, which critics say hamstrung the military, and let battlefield decisions be made by the generals in the theater, and not bureaucrats in Washington.

obammie is gonna be whizzed off for kicking his people’s butts
Truly disgusting and unwatchable for me. What did you find appealing about that video?
That is was funny as hell.
‘Specially the part where the belt on his SAW drags his coffee to him....
Right, aren’t muzzies supposed to be ‘cherished and nurtured?’
Barry better put an ice on that . . . it’s gonna leave a scar.
Oh God that was hilarious!
Not that I don’t like the idea of dead ISIS types, but what the heck are American Armed Forces doing there, and when did Congress authorized this?
Why is American blood and treasure being spent for the idiots in Syria?
>>Keeping this promise alone locks me in as a 100% supporter of our President, and NOTHING the Trump haters can say will change that commitment.
Because, as I think Rumsfeld said that we better kill them over there, before they come over here.
They are a threat to the US.
Does it really matter?
I mean it was JUST the JV team.
“President Trump scrapped his predecessors rules of engagement, ...”
SO EASY to win when to take the right approach.

I had to laugh at CNN having a meltdown the other day about Trump keeping a campaign promise... They must be sobbing in a corner about now...
That’s hilarious. New channel for me to subscribe to. Thanks for that, never heard of these guys before
We have to go where the terrorists are. No one gives a rat's patoot about Syrians, but that's where the enemy is. Obama's "strategy" was sorta like that old joke about the drunk looking for his keys under the street light. "I lost them up that alley, but the light's better here..."
Here's the reality of 4th Gen warfare. You keep killing the Believers, until no one dares to admit membership. There are no uniforms to indicate your enemy when you are combating terror, there are no borders that can be crossed for sanctuary. If the foreign government tries to provide cover, they are a terrorist supporter. It's why Turkey and the Erdoğan government, with Russian support, is flailing. He wants to be the Sultan of a new Ottoman empire and Trump, in effect, said, "Ah, no...". This is the New Reality, the one Obama denied. We kill them there, instead of here.
It's a cesspool, and we can either pump it out, now, or wait, and get dirty later.
Those in Iraq understand the difference.
FTA: I was not optimistic when Trump first came to the office, Rasool said. But after a while I started to see a new approach, the way the U.S. was dealing with arming and training. I saw how the coalition forces were all moving faster to help the Iraq side more than before. There seemed to be a lot of support, under Obama we did not get this.
Why are there less breathless reports about wedding parties getting bombed? I find that interesting.
How many times did they say F... in that video? Not necessary
