I cannot imagine a scenario where a Republican Senate candidate loses in AL against a Democrat.

Seriously.

If Dems made up that many voters in AL, they wouldn’t have such lopsided loses.

I would worry deeply if this was Philly, Chicago, etc....but not ‘Bama where I assume republicans control the wheels of government. I however, do not know who’s in charge in these urban centers. R’s will be closely watching, that’s a safe bet.

Not necessarily. Birmingham will go dem. This is not unlike Georgia everyone kept looking at Atlanta and that doesn’t tell the story

No, Alabama (and Mississippi likewise) has no “attraction” to those from NY-NJ-MA who retire south. it repulses them actually.

“Retire to Florida” has ALWAYS been an attraction to the Northeast liberal-socialists. Of course, that used to mean the (used-to-be-majority-Jewish) neighborhoods around Miami, but Orlando-Tampa-west coast are now slightly cheaper targets for retirement as well - and still imply that “glamour” of Miami to their neighbors back north. And the “glamour” of showing up the neighbors left back in the snow IS a very real thing.

But “Retire to Alabama” ???? No, never will be attractive to the majority of Yankees. Retire to Atlanta, to Asheville, to the “Golden Triangle” of the Carolina’s? Somewhat. At least those are not repulsive to a northeast liberal who has never driven nor left “the city”

I think minds were made up by yesterday. There will be a few who decide at the last minute but not enough to affect the outcome.

Since Jones would’ve given an award to the slimy moose limb for heroics, I would say this would help Moore. Real Americans know how dems play and are sick of it.

Out of state liberal money poured in...Moore outspent 14/1.

Money doesn't buy elections any more.

Without the tramp-factor and the news media focus, I think a quarter of the folks voting would NOT have shown up. Because of this negativity dumped on Alabama folks...it stirred up enough folks to show up and vote for Moore. In July, I was thinking he’d pull a seven-point win. Now? I think it’s closer to 12-points.

As for the Democrats? They should have gone for Boyd (the black minister) and left the tramps-media out of this race, and it would have been a lot closer.

The one odd factor I’ve seen....a ton of money spent by the Democrats and by McConnell. And it simply didn’t work.

It’s an epic saga of an election, and worthy of a Forrest Gump-like movie. All Moore had to do....was run.

MSM already reporting that people aren’t able to vote...which means voter fraud is taking place.

Alabama has a voter ID law.

This may mean the law is being enforced.

Used to be that money bought elections.

Social media and talk radio is the great equalizer. Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, etc.

Desperate Democrats are dumping money into these races by the wheelbarrow to no avail.

Democrats are freaking out that Steve Bannon has a platform on Sirius/XM for six hours a day (Patriot channel 125). Despite the fact that the Left has at least a dozen Sirius/XM channels dedicated to them. They can't handle just one conservative channel!

Moore was outspent 14-1.

That tells me all I need to know. Folks in AL (and most red states) don't cater to DC Swamp Dwellers, New Yorkers, or Hollyweird perverts telling them how to vote.

Most of NYS is red counties. And I’d be willing to bet some of the folks there sent Moore some bucks... :-)

Can the Senate leadership oust a duly elected member?

Wow, that’d be worth the subscription. How many hours/day is he actually on?

Maybe spending on the media is secondarily beneficial to the white wine and brie industries, but it doesn’t seem to be a good direct investment in societal wealth generation.
