Alabama Supreme Court stays judge's order to preserve voting records in Senate election

The Alabama Supreme Court has reportedly stayed a lower court’s order to election officials that would have required the preservation of voting records in Tuesday’s Senate special election.

A circuit judge on Monday ordered election officials to set voting machines to save all digital ballot images, which would preserve voting records in the event of a recount.

Perhaps more likely, the Dims foresee defeat and want to use a legal challenge in Alabama to muddy the waters on Trump’s election integrity commission’s work. Provides for the “everybody does it” response (which the media will dutifully act on).

Deceptive article. Suggests that the paper ballots are immediately destroyed, that a digital tally doesn’t exist, that Moore faces “mounting allegations of sexual misconduct” (seems like the allegations have all been made and debunked) and that Trump said he would vote with Senate Republicans (when Trump said “us”, which is quite another thing).

Voter rolls (where you sign) are generally hard copy documents.

Are those destroyed the evening of the vote?

I would think those would be held for at least a few days.

If some folks want to give pay-back, I say bring it on.

There are some great prisons out there that need more inmates.
