Officials of President Trump's transition team plan to ask Special Counsel Robert Mueller to return "many tens of thousands" of transition emails they contend were unlawfully provided to him. But the prosecutor's office says emails being used in the investigation were properly obtained.
What's new: A source close to Trump's transition, which still exists as a legal entity so it can shut down what was once a 1,000-person operation, said the transition will send a letter to Mueller informing him that some of the emails are privileged, and asking for their return. The transition says it is willing to provide Mueller with vetted emails.
[snip] What's at stake: We're told that the fight involves emails from the accounts of 12 officials, including members of the political leadership and foreign-policy team. One of the accounts alone includes 7,000 emails.
Trump officials discovered Mueller had the emails when his prosecutors used them as the basis for questions to witnesses, the sources said.

The emails will be returned. First three judges have to order same. then Mueller’s Team has to review and redact. In about 15 years Trump will get the stolen emails back. /s

Career staffers at Obama’s General Services Administration (GSA)... “Peter Carr, spokesman for the Special Counsel’s Office, told Axios early this morning: ‘When we have obtained emails in the course of our ongoing criminal investigation, we have secured either the account owner’s consent or appropriate criminal process.’”
My guess is they got at least some or, more likely, most of the e-mails via “appropriate criminal process.” FNC reported this morning that Muller got them via letter of request to the GSA.
It’s too soon to know how big a deal this is. My sense is it will only become a big deal if this evidence leads to the prosecution of someone(s).

The concept of ‘returning’ emails is asinine, given that they are not physical properties unless they have been printed. You don’t ‘steal’ emails — you obtain copies, and unless you specifically delete them from the original recipients account or server, they’re still there.
Part of the Cabal to overthrow a duly elected President....all should see jail time....funded in part by Soros and Clintons...whatever the pay was/is will never be enough for any one who sold out their country to tyrants.
I have more faith in Big League Politics than I in do Axios/Mike Allen.
This is how dictators rise to power. One side way over plays it’s hand so the other side takes complete power to stop them.
Looks like Mueller can be charged with obstruction of justice charges should be made on Monday.
