Sessions orders DOJ review after report Obama administration gave Hezbollah a pass

EXCLUSIVE: Attorney General Jeff Sessions is launching a review of a law enforcement initiative called Project Cassandra after an investigative report was published this week claiming the Obama administration gave a free pass to Hezbollah’s drug-trafficking and money-laundering operations to help ensure the Iran nuclear deal would stay on track.

The Justice Department said in a statement to Fox News that Sessions on Friday directed a review of prior Drug Enforcement Administration investigations “to evaluate allegations that certain matters were not properly prosecuted and to ensure all matters are appropriately handled.”

Searched and didn't find. This hit the wires around 1 hour ago. Just in time for Xmas break.

Will this help convince some Sessions critics that he's pro-Trump?

They can’t dig too deep on any of the crimes of the Kenyanesian Usurpation without exposing all of it and their own complicity in it.

Don’t hold your breathe.

Doesn’t convince me he is pro Trump, but should be viewed as evidence he is still alive.

It sounds like Trump's strategy has paid off, if it was his strategy, to allow the left to impale itself against the bogus Russia collusion charges, then go after them.

The left has certainly done their part on the former. I think that Americans will be sick of them by the midterms, and give the GOP as solid if not super majority.

I suppose Jeff read about it in the paper like the rest of us?

Now, this is where this gets interesting. It's clear Trump is using outside sources - perhaps with strategic internal leaks of critical information - to publish external exposes that force/cause Congress to act. Once they get the ball rolling, then Sessions and/or other administration officials are "forced" to act.

This whole Punch & Judy show is one for the ages. Can you imagine the number of dissertations that are going to be written by aspiring graduate students? Or, scholarly reviews of the strategic war gaming nuances in either business schools or military academies?

A growing number of Republicans on Capitol Hill are demanding answers after an investigative report this week claimed the Obama administration gave a free pass to Hezbollah’s drug-trafficking and money-laundering operations to help ensure the Iran nuclear deal would stay on track.

Obama is untouchable because they are all complicit in violating the Constitution by allowing him in office.

They KNEW he was ineligible.
They passed a special resolution in the Senate to declare McCain a natural born citizen citing as proof his TWO citizen parents.
Barack Obama voted for it.

His foreign national father made him not a natural born citizen at birth.
Children of foreign nationals were exactly who the founders were excluding with the use of the term natural born citizen. Native born would have included them and they wanted make sure the President was naturally an American as they could not possibly be anything else, no possible foreign influence, no foreign parents, births or possible citizenships and loyalties.
Solely an American, born here of citizen parents.

Perhaps a look at certain events in Mena, Arkansas, might be a good thing. Some of those who were involved are still alive.

If I may be so bold as to summarize a key plank of anti-Session's sentiment: he's a deep state plant working in concert with other treasonous conspirators in order to destroy the Trump presidency.

If that is the case, then it would be trivial for him to deflect, obfuscate or otherwise employ a wide range of standard bureaucratic tricks to delay and/or block any further inquiries that might assist Trump in gaining both favorable public support and effective administrative accomplishments.

Instead, we are witnessing a classic set-up operation, where "clean" outside sourced exposes prompt key members of Congress to become engaged, which then forces Sessions to act in concert with (future) oversight committees.

I’d like to trust Sessions. I really would.

The onus is on him.

So far all I see over there are bogus investigations, and slow-mo investigations running out the clock.

Oh, but I’m sure they are all very fine patriots.

According to my disputant from another thread, this is singles sourced to a CIA-related swamp creature, hence unreliable. The news stories I checked attributed it to one or to several sources, but they always remained unnamed.

However, even the rumor of such is more than Sessions' prior outright recusal; further, this story leads to The Hamster, not Felonia.

What the hell is going on with the Drudge Report?

I looked for this article on Drudge 20 minutes ago and it wasn't there - even though I saw it there an hour ago. So I checked "Search Drudge" on his page and found this:

DOJ review after report Obama gave Hezbollah drug-traffickers a pass... ^
From the December 22, 2017 23:11:16 GMT edition of the Drudge Report.
Article went on Drudge's "23:11 GMT" edition (6:11pm EST & 3:11 PST)

And Drudge already removed by 00:30 GMT / 7:30pm EST / 4:30pm PST

That's less than 1:19 hours up on Drudge

Now, don't get greedy. Ol Rip van Sessions is stirring, showing minimal signs of coming out of hibernation, so its best to wait and see if he is getting up or just turning over in bed.

///////////////////////////////////////////////////

The timing of the news release makes me think that Sessions wants no one to know about this and is still the same eunuch he has been.
