Poll question:

1. Too much of a “cut” 2. About right, for now 3. Not nearly enough (if so how much) 4. Not good enough. Should be cut to ZERO

The U.S. pays about 22 percent of the U.N.’s budget, or roughly $3.3 billion, and fully 28 percent of its peacekeeping effort.

The U.N.’s operating budget is separate from its peacekeeping budget, which was cut by $600 million this year, under pressure from President Donald Trump, AFP reported

Thanks for voting in this poll. I lean more towards 3. I propose a budget of $1 for each participating nation that voted against us on Jerusalem being the eternal capital of the Nation of Israel. This creates the incentive for everyone to engage in continued negotiations. I think $1 compensation is fair in my opinion.

Cut all funds and kick them all out .
It would save us a ton and free up a bunch housing in the area and cut back a lot of crime committed by these people who don’t have to follow the rules because they have diplomatic immunity . Turn the building into a convention center.

Also, paying our $1.00 dues keeps us in game. Cutting to zero is just a bit too much /sarcasm

We can still have bilaterally agreements with each Nation etc etc. But I think the $1.00 dues payment speaks LOUDER than cutting to $zero and pulling out completely—- not that I would lose any sleep if we did a complete withdrawal. I think reducing our budget to equal $1.00 for every Nation who voted against us is better for now.

Another Question (or Poll) -

What would be the response from those leeches at UN agencies/programs being cut?

(1) Come begging for funding with sob stories?
(2) Angry retort on the heartless Trump?
(3) ????
(4) All of the above

I’m not clear on what she is saying. Is she saying the UN has cut it’s budget by $285 million? Or that the U.S. is reducing it’s UN contribution by $285 million? The U.S. does not determine the UN budget but we do determine how much we contribute to it.

Money paid to the UN is appeasement. And, as everyone knows by now, appeasement never works.

The United States was seeking a $250 million cut to the U.N. budget for 2018-19, on top of $200 million in savings already proposed by U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, Agence France-Presse reported two weeks ago.

Guterres has proposed capping the U.N. biennial budget at $5.4 billion, shaving off $200 million from the 2016-17 budget.

The U.S. pays about 22 percent of the U.N.’s budget, or roughly $3.3 billion, and fully 28 percent of its peacekeeping effort.

Would you support a proposed budget of $1.00 for each Nation who voted against ? This will demonstrate our generosity and we will not put any “strings” on that crisp George Washington $1.00 bill (2018 version). With full 2018 dollar value. Each nation is FREE to spend that crisp buck anywhere in the world and even convert it to the currency or BITcoin of their choice. Just think if they invested $1.00 in BTC 10 years ago ??
