If Mitt Romney takes his place Michelle will be missing him soon enough.

There is nothing wrong with Hatch. Why all this hatred?
To: Oshkalaboomboom
Orrin Hatch came into the U.S. Senate as a firebrand conservative and was reasonably effective for his first decade or so until he got to accustomed to the Washington establishment and forgot why his constituents sent him to the U.S. Senate. Romney, OTOH, was always a GOPe guy with no conservative roots.
If that jack-wagon announces, I do hope he gets primaried.

Come on Michelle, he’s not that bad! I like him better than most of the other dinosaurs. He’s been supportive of the President.

Everett Dirkson was a statesman. Orrin Hatch is just a RINO hack. Mitt Romney will be a disaster.

He begin his occupancy in 1976, when all phones were dumb, the 5.25-inch floppy disk was cutting-edge, the very first Apple computer went on sale for $666.66, the Concorde was flying high, O.J. Simpson was a hero, Blake Shelton was a newborn, the first MRI was still a blueprint, and I was a gap-toothed first-grader wearing corduroy bell-bottoms crushing on Davy Jones. That's nothing. My Congressman has been in office since I was in high school. I go on Medicare next year.

Notwithstanding Orrin Hatch's past, he has been a staunch and vocal supporter of President Trump since his election and inauguration, and for that he has earned my eternal thanks and respect.
If President Trump had a GOP Senate full of supporters like Orrin Hatch, his agenda would be moving forward at a lightspeed.
I despise all of these phony GOP obstructionists in the Senate...

From 2012:
Orrin Hatch is committed to protecting the Right to Keep and Bear Arms guaranteed to all Americans, said Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF. His strong dedication and voting record have earned him an A+ rating from the NRA-PVF, and we proudly endorse him for re-election to the U.S. Senate.
I don't think trading Hatch for Romney is a good deal.

Hatch was two men.
He had a really high conservative rating in his votes.
But he was a moral squish and a big-government compromiser in his walking-around time. When he started doing tonsil hockey with Ted Kennedy, it was a signal of his moral journey.
