NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - An Alabama fan attending the Sugar Bowl lost her RV after it caught fire Monday morning near the Superdome.
The fire started around 11 a.m. and temporarily closed traffic near the Intersection of Poydras and South Claiborne.
The New Orleans Fire Department arrived on scene and quickly extinguished the flames.
No one was injured, and the fan said despite the loss of her RV she will still be attending the game.
The fan did not want to be identified, but issued an on-the-record statement of "Roll Tide."
Do they mean fans of the Crimson Tide...the music group, or the lovely state?
Now she’s homeless?
I hope they kept the ‘fan’ away from the flames.
Mayhem strikes again!
At least his team won. Wonder if he found out before or after the game?
I was at the game. This was huge talk around our hotel bar the day of the game, by both Alabama and Clemson fans. We were all making fun (good natured fun) of each other’s fan bases, wondering whether it was an Alabama or Clemson RV.
I immediately thought of Randy Owens and crew and thought why in the world is the fact that they like country music relevant...
He’s ALWAYS around!
Yeap, laying in the Road trying to light the way.
RV’s are built out of match heads.
