Amazingly, no. The first state listed is along the South Texas border and the upper Golf Coast. The other four dot the pacific coast and are very likely to be overrun by the drug cartel as import or export points.
Two things everyone agrees about Mexico though - a) do not drive anywhere after sunset and b) stay on the toll roads as much as possible. If you are driving between cities, try to form a caravan with other drivers so you can hide in amongst large trucks.
The stories are probably worse than everyday life but I am told that traveling outside the cartel areas is relatively safe except for the cops demanding bribes.
Actually most take the silver, that is why the country is so corrupt. We just hear more about those that choose the lead.
Lived in Mexico for over 10 years during the 80’/early 90’s.
Water is still hazardous, but the country has a lot of beautiful places to see.
I miss it to be honest, but wouldn’t go back now.
You get mucho bonus points for characterizing illegal aliens from mexico as “excretions”.
just call it a toilet seat that should be good for a few billion
Mil gracias!
