“...it gets cold in the winter...”
A couple of decades ago I was in the Boundary Waters for a week. When we came out we had breakfast at the “Trail’s End” lodge. The old fellow who runs it told us that he doesn’t stay there in the Winter because of the cold.
He goes “down south” for the winter - to Duluth!
Was only a few years ago-about 14, that they were taking bets on when the last snow banks would disappear in Duluth. And that was in JUNE.
