Christopher Steele was Hillarys hired gun, paid gobs of money to dig up dirt on Donald Trump. Yet somehow this brilliant spy lacked the surveillance skills to know that Hillary had hired him. Thats one of the many whoppers in the released Glenn Simpson testimony in which Steele is portrayed as a Boy Scout operating from the highest and purest of motives.
Steeles stenographers in the press invariably describe him as highly regarded and apolitical. The propagandistic omniscience behind these descriptions is laughable and amounts to nothing more than liberals presiding over a kangaroo court in which they can endlessly appeal to their own authority: we say he is highly regarded, so he is; we say that his motives were pure, so they are; we say that parts of his report have been corroborated, so dont question them.
The claim that Steele was operating above politics is a joke. According to the British press, he was a socialist before working for British intelligence as a Russian expert a career path that should stimulate skepticism, or at least curiosity, in a vigilant press. Steele was the perfect counterpart to John Brennan, who entered American intelligence after supporting the American Communist Party.
To whom did the apolitical Steele go with his findings at the height of the 2016 campaign? Mother Jones and Harry Reid. He also found other great souls of objectivity in the left-wing British press, to whom he was frantically peddling anti-Trump dirt. Now that we know how much he made from Hillary she paid Fusion GPS over a million dollars these stories appear even more audacious, since many of them were premised on Steele as a singularly high-minded and uncompensated volunteer.

Cause if might look a little unseemly for the Hillary campaign to have paid FBI agents directly to wiretap a political opponent. Much more cunning to pay a front group like Fusion GPS and then they pay the corrupt FBI agents. Now that's the professional way!
“To whom did the apolitical Steele go with his findings at the height of the 2016 campaign? “
He had no findings. He made cool sounding stories up and sold them....for money.
From the GPS Fusion transcript: it appears Steele is a Russian “expert” who doesn’t speak Russian !
Careful. Clicking on the link from my iPhone leads to a spam pop up for a fake amazon prize.
He is being sued real bad for slander by a russian who will bankrupt that lying bastard?
“Now that we know how much he made from Hillary she paid Fusion GPS over a million dollars...”
Just another reason why the rats are so furious. They spent tons of money, risked jail or worse, fraudulently voted, ...AND STILL LOST!!!! They committed crimes thinking they would win and the ends would justify the means, but they lost and now they are scared and possibly exposed (if anyone is really willing to do anything about it).
Indictments, prison, jail time that’s all I want to see from somebody soon.
The “Russia expert” who hasn’t been to Russia since 1999, IIRC.
“As reported by Guardian journalist Luke Harding, Steeles cover was blown in 1999, which made it impossible for him to return to Russia. He was then put in charge of the Russia desk in London, where FSB defector Alexander Litvinenko was poisoned in a restaurant in 2006. A former CIA officer reported that Steele was Litvinenkos handler.”
Leftist = Apolitical.
Rightist = Extremist.
He made that much for his stories? Well, I guess JK Rowling makes a bit more, but, still . . .
I am reminded of the German writer....Karl May (1842-1912). The guy was a failed teacher who finally thrown into some debt prison and they gave him some cowboy-western novels to read. He decided that he could write that well.
So for a period of about thirty years, he wrote lots of German books over cowboys and Indians, but never having been there or talked to either a cowboy or Indian. Toward the end of his life, he made a brief trip to the US....but never got past New York state.
In some aspects, I would compare Christopher Steele to Karl May...fictional writers. Steele appears not to have been in Russia for 18 years, yet is a Russia ‘expert’.
