The Hawaii governor has reportedly said someone mashed the wrong button during shift change.
When I worked at a state agency (not Hawaii) we had two buttons on our desks: one said “shift change notice” and the other “nuclear attack alert broadcast.”
I was constantly mashing the wrong one.

California resident Elizabeth Fong is in Hawaii looking to buy a house and received the alert. She said she didn’t receive a correction alert stating it was a false alarm until 8:46 a.m., nearly 40 minutes after the initial alert.

Yep!! I live in California where a Mexican man or woman is constantly stealing their children from one another. Amber Alerts abound.
