For anything to happen we need an Attorney General, and this very morning Session Praised Rosenstein. That tells you his intent is to do Nothing. It’s all up to Trump to Fire Sessions.
Sessions said #2 Rosenstein and #3 (some woman) were the type of quality and leadership we want to have in this department. It wasn’t praise specifically for Rosenstein (it was for both) and it wasn’t very effusive.

Rosenstein Lied to the FISA Court..Sessions should have fired him, not Praised him.

Sessions might be able to fire Rosenstein, I don’t the rules for that case. But if he has that ability, your suggestion that it should be done with just one side of the story (the memo), I would disagree. There has to a be a process for firing, but also a process for prosecution (for Rosenstein). Those will take time.

Rosenstein is alleged to have lied. There’s a memo detailing the allegations. The memo is not enough to convict. The crime needs to be properly investigated, probably requiring another counsel, then he can be sentenced. Just as importantly they can reform FISA to make it harder to abuse, or dump the secret FISA court and use regular courts.
What does it all mean? My TV won’t connect to Comcast so I can’t foolow release of memo. Was it released without redactions?
I looked for it on YouTube - no luck.
Frankly, it means nothing even if he did praise him.
In business and politics people say good things about those they have no respect for all the time. Watch C Span - senators who hate each other’s guts will still refer to each other as “my very close friend and esteemed colleague, the honerable so and so.”
I think history will judge Jeff Sessions kindly, and some day when everything is known about what he did or didn’t do, the Sessions-haters on FR are going to look foolish and mean spirited.

The memo proves what we’ve been saying for almost a year. The Dem funded ‘dossier’ was fraudulently used to obtain a warrant to spy on Trump associates.
And if you watch CNN, Rosenstein is minutes away from being fired by Trump.
I only read an NPR (untrustworthy) piece so I don’t know what Sessions actually said. But you are right, respect for the law goes with respect for fellow humans, even the worst criminal. But respect for the law and all law-abiding Americans means prosecutng the guilty but doihg it properly.
