Feb. is the Iranian regime's celebration of "The Revolution". Protesters have taken to the streets to call for the end of the regime and death to Khamenei. They are tearing down posters & banners celebrating the Revolution and burning them. The protests are happening in cities throughout the country. The women are still taking off their head scarves in protest and being arrested.
Just because the media doesn't report it, doesn't mean it isn't happening.

Heartbreaking. I don’t think it was really given the attention it deserved by the msm at the time.

I remember the aol discussion boards months after, among Chinese on both sides, many blaming the students. I wrote a long poem and distributed it on June 4 in subsequent years in front of the Chinese Consulate in NYC, across the street from the Intrepid. But this song hits me right between the eyes, as if it happened yesterday.

U.S. dollar exchanged at 71.46 rials in 1978(the last year of the Shah) and 9430 rials in 1999.
In 2015 it was 30,000. Now it’s 48,000
Next Jan. will be 40 years since Shah left Iran. Maybe all this will lead up to a new anniversary for the Iranian people to celebrate - the demise of the IRI.
